The following websites have ideas for sensory play (including lots of playdough recipes), creative activities and ideas for other areas of the curriculum. These are pages for parents/carers to get ideas from rather than pages for children to explore and interact with.
Home learning resources
- Youth Sport Trust has a number of resources for parents and schools https://www.youthsporttrust.org/free-home-learning-resources-0
- White Rose Maths home learning: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/ ‘The White Rose Maths team has prepared a series of five maths lessons for each year group from Y1-Y8. We will be adding five more each week for the next few weeks. Every lesson comes with a short video showing you clearly and simply how to help your child to complete the activity successfully.’
- UCL Institute of Education: free online learning resources ‘We have compiled a list of resources helpful to teachers, school leaders, parents/carers and young people. All of these resources are either free/have been made free during the period of school closures.’
PSHE
In our weekly PSHE lessons we follow the Jigsaw scheme of work. Here is a link to two Jigsaw PSHE stories that the children might like to listen to at home. There are also additional activities that you can do as a family including a Calm Me session that might be particularly useful.’
