Free School Meals
Your child might be able to get free school meals if you are in receipt of the following.
Qualifying criteria for Free School Meals
Income Support
income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
income-related Employment and Support Allowance
support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
Working Tax Credit run-on – paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
Universal Credit – your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
You would receive for your child free school meals when attending school or during lockdown you would receive the equivalent 2 week food hamper. In addition to this the school will receive a pupil premium payment to help support your child at school.
If you think you may be eligible please see the link below. If your child is in year R, 1 or 2 you will receive universal free school meals, but please still apply if you are eligible. Once you have confirmation please contact the school office and they can verify this for you.
